There are numerous reasons you may be feeling compelled to start therapy. I work with individuals interested in addressing difficulties like self criticism, grappling with the depths of depression, slowing down the whirlwind of anxiety, or more broadly interested in developing a deeper understanding of themselves.
As we move through life, many of us inevitably find ourselves stuck in repetitive patterns and behaviors that limit are ability to cultivate the kind of life we want. I’m interested in joining you on a path of gaining clarity about where you are now, how you got here, and where you want to be. Together we will collaborate in curiosity, honesty, and creativity with the purpose of developing a greater sense of autonomy, wellbeing, and meaningful satisfaction.
Therapeutic Style and Structure
My therapeutic style focuses on paying close attention to our moment to moment experience with each other and engaging in genuine dialogue about your reasons for entering therapy, ways of interacting with yourself, others, and the world. I believe the best place to start is focusing on one’s direct felt experience. This allows us to notice when and where you inhibit yourself and provides an opportunity to see what happens when that inhibition is lifted in a therapy session. Developing greater awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the context of your past and present life experiences creates a path toward supporting yourself more fully and directly.
I offer both in person and virtual sessions. I work with individuals committed to weekly 45 min therapy sessions. I do not accept insurance at this time.
